New Year + New Journals

Quick post here. First, my manners: Good evening 🙂

So, I ended up buying myself some new journals  today.

One thing you should know about me is that I’m a faithful and dedicated journaler (I don’t think that’s a word but let me have it.)

Writing is therapy. I’ve been writing in a journal since 2005 or 2006, per Oprah’s recommendation.

It’s become my sacred place and space to decompress and clear my thoughts. Vent. Plan. Write down ideas. Doodle and sketch. All in one. Every page in all my journals is way different. One day I might talk about some advice I received, the next day, heart ache/break or why “this gon’ be my year.”
Every December I make it a point to invest in a new journal and mini one when I’m on the go.

I pretty much always get mines from Marshalls or TJ Maxx. They have such good ones ( check them out if you need nice ones for a good price). My only criteria is that they be:

  1. Clean
  2. Sleek
  3. And evoke a feeling that makes want to use it.

While out today, I found my newest two for 2016:

This is the first year I didn’t opt for black.

And I’m OK with that.

I’m dedicating these notepads to my blog planning and life tracking.

Let’s see how it goessssssssss

Hi! My name is Cheryl but my friends call me Bloom. I'm a 34 year old true, old soul millennial who decided to start a blog about becoming an adult, a woman, foodie and dating. I love self help books, oldies and talking to people about life. I like to laugh and tell jokes. I like to buy "sh!t" as my dad says that I usually don't need but what girl doesn't?! Thanks for stopping by. Come back any time.
