67 Orange

Tradition is tradition.

Me + NYC + My Friends = Food, Drinks, Debates and Love

Whenever I visit New York, my best friends and I try to make it an absolute point to hang out. Usually our thing is brunch before I leave to go back home but this time, we got a chance to do dinner!

After a few text exchanges (ok maybe like 100 “so where are we going?! texts”), we decided on 67 Orange St.– a loungy SpeakEasy spot in Harlem.

Walking up to the place, we  actually walked past it at first.  Turned around, walked back, and passed it [again]. Turned around and said, “Ok hold up, it should be right here. Damn GPS. Walked a little bit, passed it – sike just kidding.”

It was right in front of our faces [only in uber small, 7 pitch Times New Roman font]. Exactly. Small.

Things that kinda caught me off guard initially was the extra narrow, slim tables for seating and the curtain that met you at the entrance ( but I’m guessing that was to block out the cold?) – hope it was –__–

The Menu

Brussel Sprouts

Crispy Chicken Sliders

Kale Caesar Salad

Jerk Wings

Rum Punch – definitely made with Wray  & Nephew.

I ordered the sliders and had one of my friend’s wings – Oh M – G! SOOOOOOO freakin’ good.  Not pictured are the fried oreos that someone in my party ordered. I tried one of those too – #umyum.

From what I gathered, 67 Orange is a spot for after dinner drinks and to hang with friends in a chill spot.  The food was very good and I definitely will be going back.

Overall, I have to say it was a great experience. The food was amazing.  The vibe was ultra cool.  The rum punch and friend oreos were my highlights.

And though I have literally a TON of places on my list to try – HELLOOOOOOOO BROOKLYN is next – I definitely plan to go back.

If you ever get up to NYC – I’d definitely recommend trying it out.

Tell them Bloom sent you.

Eh, ok, name holds no weight [yet]  – but enjoy!

Hi! My name is Cheryl but my friends call me Bloom. I'm a 34 year old true, old soul millennial who decided to start a blog about becoming an adult, a woman, foodie and dating. I love self help books, oldies and talking to people about life. I like to laugh and tell jokes. I like to buy "sh!t" as my dad says that I usually don't need but what girl doesn't?! Thanks for stopping by. Come back any time.
