Hey Bloomies!
Just wanted to do a quick post on how I spent my birthday this past weekend!
First of all, I still can’t believe I’m 32! As the old folks say, I’m “officially off the calendar.”
Yikes!
I gotta say though, I feel really good. I’ve always prayed to get older and wiser – and I finally feel like that is my reality.
Anywho, I had a few people over at my house for my birthday. Played some games and talked it up.
And because my birthday actually fell on Sunday Funday, brunch was certainly in order.
I have a few brunch spots on my list this year, one being Ted’s Bulletin in Eastern Market (DC).
And since Ted’s is closer to where I live, it was the obvious choice.
A few initial observations:
- You simply can’t miss Ted’s Bulletin. It has a giant, illuminated B on the outside.
- When you walk in, there’s a bar like area with an old school but modern twist. I’m guessing it can also be for take out orders or to order coffee and pasty type stuff. I’ll inquire next time.
- It’s best to call ahead and make a resie (reservation). Esp on Sundays! Trust…me.
The main eatery is in the back of the restaurant. It’s super cute – still old school diner-ish but modern. I loved it!!!
I snapped a few pictures of what we ordered, see below. Side note- I definitely want to go again but the plan is to order breakfast food. I mean I never turn down fried chicken and biscuits but as a tried and true foodie, I suggest when you go to a restaurant for the first time that’s known for something, you gotta try that FIRST!

Adult Milkshakes (yep, they come with alcohol): (L to R) Mocha and Toasted Coconut

The Big Mark Breakfast

Mini Chicken and Biscuits (Definitely NOT mini)

I mean, in case you wanted to know how Ted was. It’s also the menu 🙂
Until next time, continue to eat good food.
