City Center + Ping Pong

Random days that turn into memories are my favorite.

The weather was perfect. Mid 70s  in the District of Columbia. So you know what that meant: I took “the long way home…” which usually leads to a Masterdate of some sort.

#bloomchronicles and #bloomfoodiechronicles

I left work and just walked. No real destination in mind – well, no, I’m lying. I wanted to walk from my job to City Center (which is about a mile and half).  If I haven’t told you already, City Center is a fairly new spot in DC that has a mix of retail and food venues to please.   Juice Bars, Desserts, Hermes and Kate Spade – Ramen @ Momufuku or Crack Pie at Milk Bar.  This is going to become my go-to place Summer 2016. It’s so cute and nice.  And inviting. And so me:) Peep the picture above.

  Cute, right?

I plan to eat at every restaurant here. And that excites me terribly.

After my 25 min walk. I started to get haaaannnngry, and noticed I was still about 1 hour and 45 mins. into a happy hour somewhere.  Instantly, Ping Pong came to mind. It has been on my list since last summer so I had to go there first even though there were so many options to try close by. (Ping Pong is not in City Center but it’s not far away)

Per usual, snapped a few pics of what I ordered. I will be going back to Ping Pong for brunch. Green Tea Chicken and Waffles. Need. I . Say. More!? Nah. Ya’ll get it. 🙂

Lychee and Rose Martini (Sooooooooooo good!)

Honey Roasted Chicken Puffs (UnREALLY Good!) – Garnished in Pineapple

After dinner – it was still light out and I have a slight weight obsession with Milk Bar – so I went BACK to City Center and got this: Vanilla Soft Serv with Fudge and ChocoChips

🙂 And that was it. I was happy. I went home. I went to bed. I was happy.

Until next time, continue to eat good food.

Hi! My name is Cheryl but my friends call me Bloom. I'm a true, old soul millennial who decided to start a blog about becoming an adult, a woman, foodie and dating. I love self help books, oldies and talking to people about life. I like to laugh and tell jokes. I like to buy "sh!t" as my dad says that I usually don't need but what girl doesn't?! Thanks for stopping by. Come back any time.
