More like keep the faith forever. Or, there is no forever without faith. Pick your perspective.
As I get older and wiser – I am learning that I cannot shift my faith in God. Faith shouldn’t be something that is easily abandoned or reprioritized even though it can certainly seem like it’s a pointless practice at times. Especially when things don’t go your way or it seems like God forgot about you. I can tell you for certain He didn’t, He just wants your attention. I now understand that’s the point. When I have doubt or am frustrated the most, I must have even more faith. That’s just how it works. I realized that I am not one of those people who can go through life without faith in God and a spiritual core. It’s a sure recipe for feeling lost. My spiritual practices of meditating and checking in with myself are non-negotiable. Faith leads you to developing one of the most important relationships you can have besides the one you must have with yourself, a relationship with God. The one that lasts forever. “For in Him We live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28). “I don’t know what the future holds but know who holds my future.” That’s faith.
